Sharing Your Backyard Abundance
Fruit Sharing
Sharing your backyard fruit and vegetable abundance is a great way to connect with your community and reduce waste. By sharing them with your neighbors, local food banks, or pantries, not only will you be promoting sustainability, reducing waste, and building relationships, but you'll be helping others within your community to minimize food insecurity.

Fruit Sharing
Have extra fruit or vegetables? We’ll pick them up and deliver to food banks, shelters, and neighbors in need. If you can’t harvest, our volunteers will help so nothing goes to waste. Organizations and neighbors in need can also request fresh produce for delivery.
Our Impact

Collaboration
Together with you and our local farmers, we’ve donated over 19,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to local Bay Area food pantries. Some of these organizations prepare more than 25,000 meals each week for families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities throughout our communities.

Volunteers
We want to thank all the volunteers who we have worked with through Fruit Sharing to impact the lives of those who are experiencing hunger, homelessness, or food insecurity.

Sustainability
By reducing food waste, we are lowering greenhouse gas emissions, saving 15,200 lbs of CO₂ equivalent emissions. This is roughly equivalent to:
-
Driving a car for about 17,000 miles
-
The energy use of an average household for about 1 year
